The Culver City High School Robotics Team, known as the “Bagel Bytes” or FRC team #702, is a team of Students and Professionals who work together to build a robot for the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. The season is six weeks long starting in January when we design, build, and test a robot to compete in FIRST Regional Competitions against teams from across California. Winning a regional competition qualifies us to compete in the FIRST Championship Event held in St Louis. The team also assists other schools in the area giving them space to work and assistance in robot design and construction. Students on the team have also began mentoring new robotics teams at a local Elementary school for entry into the FIRST Lego League Robotics Competition next year.
